Professor Paul Losty trained in General Surgery and Paediatric Surgery in Dublin Ireland , Boston USA and Liverpool UK. Paul Losty served as Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and University of Liverpool having worked in Liverpool for some 30 years. Professor Losty is currently now a Visiting and Distinguished Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University Bangkok Thailand.
Paul has active special interests in Neonatal Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Education & Training, Leadership / Mentorship. Professor Losty is a well known and popular distinguished paediatric surgeon having delivered many keynote lectures across some 5 World Continents and a recipient of several prestigious awards. Professor Losty has published more than 200 full manuscript publications whilst also contributing to many international textbooks. Paul Losty is the Editor-in-Chief of 5 major new textbooks which include as listed examples - Rickham's Neonatal Surgery, Pediatric Surgical Oncology and Essentials Of Paediatric Surgery - A Practical Guide. Professor Losty holds active membership of numerous professional surgical associations and learned societies and is currently the President International Society of Pediatric Surgical Oncology (IPSO).
