Mircea Miclea is a university professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and a doctoral coordinator at the doctoral school of Applied Cognitive Sciences. Prof. Miclea is a senior psychologist with extensive experience as a practitioner and trainer in psychotherapy, being a tenured professor within UBB in several specialized disciplines (eg cognitive-behavioral changes, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy) and trainer for other courses accredited by the College of Psychologists in Romania (eg online methods for anxiety prevention and psychotherapy).
Mircea Miclea is the director of a private research and development center in the field of psychology, Cognitrom, where he coordinated the development of several innovative platforms for evaluation and computerized psychological intervention for children, adolescents and adults used nationally, in public and private institutions. Prof. Miclea is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers published in national and international journals and a founding member of the scientific journal "Cognition, Brain, Behavior: An Interdisciplinary Journal".
Mircea Miclea was Minister of Education and Research and elaborated several national strategies and reports in the field of education. Recently, Prof. Mircea Miclea is also the winner of the Elisabeth Pilkington Ratiu Award for Mental Health 2017, a recognition for “contributing to the development and intensive promotion of research in the field of psychology, supporting the advancement of knowledge and training of young researchers and specialists”.
