LUIS MADEIRA
Graduated in Medicine in 2008 since then followed 4 distinct development pathways. His academic path has been through philosophy and phenomenology having performed a Master in Philosophy and Psychiatry in the University of Central Lancashire and a PhD in Psychiatry and Mental Health in the University of Lisbon.
His teaching path has considered both Psychiatry and Ethics and Medical Deontology in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon where he is an Assistant Professor. His advisory path led him to become a member of the National Committee of Medical Ethics aiming to determine the development of ethics in life sciences in Portugal.
His clinical path includes being a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist since 2013 specialised in Psychiatry (5 year residency) and in Rogerian Psychotherapist (5 year program in Client Centered therapy).
He is now researching on subjectivity and anomalous self and world experiences and presented over 80 international keynotes and has published 14 publications (chapters and articles).
