Associate professor and head of the Psychiatric Department within the Neuroscience Department of Timisoara University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeş”. She works in “Eduard Pamfil” Timisoara Psychiatric Clinic as senior psychiatrist and head of Psychiatry II ward of “Pius Brînzeu” County Clinical Hospital Timisoara. She graduated “Victor Babeş” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara and afterwards postgraduate studies in pedagogy and the management of medical services respectively. She graduated a 5 year formation in systemic family psychotherapy under the supervision of French psychotherapists. She received the following distinctions: the prize of Romanian Association of Psychiatry for young psychiatrists in 2001, of Romanian Association of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in 2011 for the book “Biological Bases of Psychiatry”, of University Horizons Association for research in 2011. Dr. Liana Dehelean authored monographs and books in collaboration, among them: Biological Bases of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy in alimentary disorders, Clinical Psychiatry for Specialists in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychiatry for Senior Psychiatrists, Lectures in General Psychiatry. She is the author or coauthor of 100 national and international publications (scientific papers, book chapters). Dr. Liana Dehelean is member of the editorial team of Romanian Journal of Psychiatry and also of several professional associations such as: Romanian Association of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Romanian Association of Personality Disorders, Timisoara Psychiatric Association, European Psychiatric Association, World Psychiatric Association.
