Senior M.D., Ph.D., is a public health and management specialist, currently working at the National Institute of Public Health in Romania as Head of the Health Promotion and Education for Health Unit.

For more than 20 years in public health and health promotion and education for health, she is dedicating her work to population health advancement and prevention of diseases. Her experience covers several health topics, including communicable and non-communicable diseases, oral health, mental health, health behaviour, and health communication. By coordinating the Tobacco Control WHO program in Romania in Stability Pact Initiative for Social Cohesion, she had advocated in the Parliament of Romania for WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control ratification. She was actively involved in the debate about education for health while supported the access to it for all children and had worked for the Romanian Government platform of children’s rights promotion.

She has contributed through his technical expertise as an associate member of the Intersectoral Coordinating Committee on Mental Health to the progress of mental health policies and legislation in Romania. She participated as a researcher at the International Project” Depression screening in primary care in China, India, Iran, and Romania”, developed by a working group initiated and supported by The World Psychiatric Association.

She had advocated for evidence-informed policies in several scientific meetings and congresses, and she is interested in gaining knowledge and experience in and to support the development of, and advocate for the health policies informed by the best available scientific evidence.
