Dr. Roxana Vişan (Stoean) has 15 years of experience in Psychiatry, initially as a resident physician at the "Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia” Clinical Hospital of Psychiatry and then in the “St. Pantelimon” Emergency Clinical Hospital, Bucharest, the clinical activity being in the area of general psychiatry of the adult, as well as the treatment of mental disorders associated with somatic affections.

She considers Psychiatry to be one of the most beautiful, interesting and complex medical specialties, and in terms of its status in modern Medicine and socially, it is increasingly clear that health care systems cannot achieve their goal without mental health promotion.

The art of medical practice in Psychiatry reflects not only the understanding of mental suffering and therapeutic modalities, but also the essential role of the doctor-patient therapeutic relationship in the medical approach, as well as the importance of the bio-psycho-social model in medicine.

She is a doctoral student and assistant professor at "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, graduate of an online Master's Degree in Psychopharmacology from the US Neuroscience Education Institute, secretary general of the Romanian Association of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy where she coordinated the working group for updating therapeutic protocols in psychiatry approved in 2019.

Participation in Psychiatry Conferences is part of the professional life whatever the specifics of the clinical practice of each of us, also offering the framework and opportunity to strengthen the professional body in Romanian psychiatry.
