Professor of health psychology, behavioural and psychosomatic medicine and qualitative research methods.

Her research interests include health behaviours, abuse and trauma, vaccination, screening, reproductive health, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.

She has published over 160 papers, books and chapters in international and national journals.

She is the coordinator of the research laboratory in health psychology and she has been director and researcher for over 40 international and national research grants on health topics.

In 2014, Dr. Băban was awarded with the title of “Fellow of the European Society of Health Psychology” for her contributions to the development of health psychology in Europe.
