Valeriu ȘURLIN

A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Craiova, he trained in the specialty not only at the School of Surgery of the First Clinic in Craiova and at the one in France, with which he remained in close relations even today.

He was and is permanently concerned with the improvement of classical surgery techniques, the introduction into practice of the newest procedures, the development of minimally invasive surgery, especially the laparoscopic one, by extending this type of approach to as many benign and malignant diseases as possible, the introduction of rapid rehabilitation protocols in the care of patients that underwent major surgical interventions, but also the scientific and research activity, supported by research grants and published in specialized journals and communications at scientific events in the country and abroad.
