Prof. Suren Agho Stepanyan had medical education in Yerevan State Medical University in 1985-1993. After residency in general surgery he was employed in position of Assistant Professor of Department of Surgery of YSMU. He had trainings in Clinic of Surgery of Heidelberg University (2008), in Clinic of Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantataion of Wien General Hospital – AKH Vienna (2009, 2012), in Clinic of Surgery of Memmingen Hospital (2013), in surgical clinics of Moscow (2016, 2019). Prof. S.A.Stepanyan’s current positions are – Head of Department of Surgery of YSMU, Head of Clinic of Surgery of University Hospital (Mickaelyan Institute of Surgery), general surgeon adviser of Ministry of Health of Republic Armenia. He had publications in medical periodicals relating emergency abdominal surgery, general surgery. Prof. S. A. Stepanyan is member of EAES since 2011, member of ESS since 2016, was President of ESS in period 2017-2018.
