aDRIAN BARTOȘ

Dr. Bartoș Adrian is a consultant general surgeon at the Regional Institute of Gastroenterology - Hepatology, Cluj-Napoca and Medicover Surgical Hospital Cluj, being a  university lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hațieganu" Cluj-Napoca. His training period included internships and fellowships in Germany, Holland, France and Italy, obtaining national and european specializations in general and interventional ultrasonography, laparoscopic surgery – advanced techniques, hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery, oncological surgery and robotic surgery.

Dr. Bartoș is a member of the professional associations: Romanian Society of Surgery (SRC), the Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery and other Interventional Techniques (ARCE), European Association for Endoscopic Surgery and other Interventional Techniques (EAES), Romanian Association of Hepato-Bilio-Pancreatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation (ARCHBPTH), the Romanian Society of Emergency and Trauma Surgery (SRCUT), International Society For The Study of Pleura and Peritoneum (ISSPP), The International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO), American College of Surgeons (ACS) and European Bord of Surgery (EBS), being recognized with the titles of Fellow of American College of Surgery (FACS) and Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS). It is a founding member and president of the Association for Research and Treatment of Advanced Abdomino-Pelvic Tumors (ACTTAPA) and the Image Guided Surgery Association.

The professional activity is mainly focused on oncological surgery of the digestive tube and peritoneum, hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery and minimally invasive surgery, to date Dr. Bartoș performed over 4000 such interventions.

He is interested in the research and treatment of digestive tumors, being a habilitated doctor of medical science, with over 60 works published in specialist magazines, over 150 communicated works at national and international congresses, 64 chapters in national and international specialty books and 5 monographs. He is actively involved in research in the field, being the coordinator of numerous clinical studies, member of national and European research grants, reviewer at 6 international magazines and member of the editorial team of 8 international specialized magazines.
