THEODOR CEBOTARU

Doctor Theodor Cebotaru is a cardiovascular surgeron, head of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Monza Hospital in Bucharest, Romania.

Dr. Cebotaru has experience in beating heart interventions and mitral valve plasty. To date, he has made over 3,500 myocardial revascularization interventions, exclusively on beating heart and over 3,000 valve replacements/plasty, out of which over 750 were mitral valve plasty.

Promoter of minimally invasive interventions, Dr. Theodor Cebotaru performed the first interventions of this type in 2002. Starting 2013, Dr. Cebotaru performs surgeries predominantly using the minimally invasive technique, so, currently, the minimally invasive method represents 90% of all surgeries
