Dr. Kachel is one of the lead cardiac surgeons in Israel, the deputy director of the Cardiac Surgery Department at the Sheba Medical Canter, head of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit at Poria medical center, and the elected general secretary of the Israeli Cardiothoracic Surgery Society.

He is, also, a supervisor of students and lecturer of several courses at the Tel Aviv and Bar-Ilan Universities.

Involves in many biotechnology startup companies (pharmacological, wounds healing technologists and medical devices) and a member of the scientific advisory board at PolyPid.

Dr. Kachel graduated Medical School at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel, did his Cardiothoracic residency at the Sheba Medical Center in Israel and his Clinical fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at the Sunnybrook Medical Canter in the University of Toronto, Canada.
