Paolo Navalesi received his medical degree with Laude from the University of Genoa (Italy) and had his training in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Milan. He completed a post-graduate research fellowship at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is Full Professor of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the University of Padua (Italy), where is the Director of the School of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. He is the Delegate of the Rector for Clinical Research.
He is the Head of the Institute of Anesthesia and Intensive Care and Director of the Department of Critical Care at the University Hospital of Padua.
He is the author of 290 articles (15132 citations according to Scopus and 23398 according to Google Scholar) and contributed to 40 book chapters.
He is a Fellow of the European Respiratory Society (FERS).
