Alexandru Tudor Steriade (born 11 July 1985) is a medical doctor and assistant professor at the pulmonology and acute respiratory care department at "Elias" Emergency University Hospital and the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania.
He has been educated in different fields of respiratory medicine at "Carol Davila" University of Medicine, Bucharest, Romania and Université Paris Saclay, Hôpital Bicêtre, Paris, France.
His main clinical and research interests are severe obstructive lung disease, respiratory failure, respiratory intensive care and bronchoscopy. In addition, he is passionate about medical education and training medical students and medical doctors in these areas of expertise.
Dr. Steriade is also a co-founder of the first Acute Respiratory Care unit in Romania at Elias Emergency University Hospital.
He has a PhD in medicine (Magna cum Laude) in the field of severe COPD exacerbation.
He is the author of several original papers in peer-reviewed journals, with an h-index of 5 (WoS) / 6 (Google Scholar) and 76 (WoS) 129 (Google Scholar) citations.
