VITALIE MOSCALU

Dr. Vitalie Moscalu, born on 30th May 1956, has finished his studies in State Medical University of Moldova in 1979. After having specialized in general surgery, makes a specialization in cardiovascular surgery in Moscow.

During his activity, has had multiple training and certification activities in Scientific centers from Israel, Russia, USA, France, Italy, Austria. Starting from 1980 till 2016 works as cardiovascular surgeon in Republican Clinical Hospital in the Republic of Moldova.

After making his Ph.D. scientific work in Moscow (1988), activates as scientific assistant at the department of surgery in State Medical University in Chisinau (1989-1991).

Starting from 1991, collaborates as researcher in Institute of Cardiology. In 2003 after the formation of Heart Surgery Center, Doctor Vitalie Moscalu works as chief of this department, then as CEO on scientific problems. During his professional activit, he has published more than 250 scientific papers, coordinated three major scientific projects and in another five projects- was as chief executive researcher.

In 2014 Vitalie Moscalu, is named as General Director on Institute of Cardiology from Moldova, being implicated in management of research problems, as well as in clinical activities.

Doctor Vitalie Moscalu currently is member of Romanian Society of Cardiovascular surgery, European society of Caridology and Cardiosurgery, having destinctions from Academy of Science and Government of Republic of Moldova.
