Vadim Petru Irimie graduated from the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology “George Emil Palade” of Târgu Mureș in 2012.

He underwent training as a cardiac surgeon in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Rhön Klinik Campus Bad Neustadt an der Saale and in 2019 obtained the German board qualification for the specialization.

The main field of expertise is the aortic valve and the aortic surgery.

Together with Prof. Paul. P. Urbanski he is the first author or co-author of 20 scientific articles published in PubMed-listed journals.

In randomized multicenter clinical trial of the PleuraFlow Active Clearance Technology® (ACT) he was the lead clinical investigator in Bad Neustadt.
