Dr. Narcis Valentin Tănase graduated from “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest in 1997. His current professional position is Consultant, Anesthesia - Intensive Care physician and Research Assistant in the ICU Clinic of the Central University and "Dr. Carol Davila" Emergency Military Hospital, a hospital where he has been carrying out his professional activity since 1997. Priority areas of professional interest are represented by total intravenous anesthesia, eco-guided regional anesthesia, acute and chronic pain therapy, drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE), and intensive therapy of the critical patient.
He has given presentations at various local and international scientific events and has published as main author or co-author over 30 studies and articles. He is a co-author of 2 specialized books and principal investigator in two multicenter international projects. He is a member of the Romanian Society of Anesthesia - Intensive Care, the European Society of Anesthesia and the International Anesthesia Research Society. Member of organizing committees and scientific secretary for numerous local and international scientific events (“Dr. Carol Davila” Central Military Hospital Days, Congress of Balkan Military Medicine, Pancreatic Fest, etc.). He has been the coordinator of the transplant activity in the Central Military Hospital since 2014.
