Thomas Langer graduated in 2008 in Medicine at the University of Milan, and in 2014 he was board certified in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine by the same University.
From 2011 to 2012 he was research fellow of the National Research Council at the United States Army Institute for Surgical Research in San Antonio, Texas. Thereafter, he worked in the Pediatric ICU of the Policlinico of Milan for 2 years and moved afterwards to the general ICU and Burn Unit of Niguarda Hospital. Thomas is currently researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy. His main research interests are respiratory pathophysiology, acid-base physiology, fluid therapy, control of breathing and extracorporeal gas exchange.
