Matija Jurjevic


Dr. Jurjević was born on 08.10.1977 in Croatia, where he finished Medical School and later specialized in Anesthesiology, Reanimatology, and Intensive Care Medicine with subspecialization in Intensive Care. He works at the County General Hospital “Dr. Josip Bencevic” in Slavonski Brod in Croatia.

His field of interest includes intensive care with a focus on mechanical ventilation and he has been working as a lecturer/instructor on several international courses and congresses on mechanical ventilation during the last 5 years. He has also been working as an international instructor for the Advanced Life Support (ALS) course since 2006, as well as Medical Response to Major Incidents (MRMI) course since 2010. He is an author/co-author on several published papers and book chapters in the field of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care medicine.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Jurjević worked as a full-time consultant intensivist in Covid-ICU. He is one of the developers/lecturers of the 3-day Advanced Course in Mechanical Ventilation held in Slavonski Brod in Croatia and has also been working as an international trainer in mechanical ventilation for Hamilton Medical since 2018.
