SPERANȚA IACOB
Dr. Speranța Iacob is an accomplished Associate Professor and Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology based at the Center for Digestive Diseases and Liver Transplant at Fundeni Clinical Institute in Bucharest, Romania.
With a medical degree from „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, she has specialized in gastroenterology, hepatology, and liver transplantation.
Her professional journey includes extensive experience in clinical research, particularly in liver diseases, and she holds a PhD focusing on recurrent hepatitis C post-liver transplant.
Dr. Iacob is a national representative on the European Board of Transplant Medicine (EBTM) and serves as Vice President of the EBTM and European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) Councillor for Eastern Europe.
She has received numerous international awards, including multiple bursary awards from the EASL, UEG, ESOT, TTS. A prolific researcher and author, she has contributed to over 85 articles in ISI-indexed journals and several research projects, earning recognition for her expertise in liver transplantation and hepatology.
