Chloë Ballesté Delpierre graduated in Medicine at the University of Barcelona (UB) and completed a Master in Science in Donation and Transplantation of organs, tissues, and cells, also from the University of Barcelona.
In 2011 she became Associated Professor of the Surgery Department of the Medical School of the University of Barcelona from where she coordinates a Master and post degree programmes, Bachelor’s programmes and International Research Projects in organ donation and Transplantation issues.
She worked for 4 years in the Organ Allocation Unit of the Regional Transplant Office of Catalunya (OCATT) and she has been involved in Hospital Clinic’s organ donation management, clinical, educational, and research activities since 2006.
She is the International Development director of the DTI foundation since 2014, where she has collaborated since 2005 in TPM international trainings, auditing, and counselling projects.
She has been involved as IP and coordinator in several European projects ERASMUS + co-founded project coordinated by the University of Barcelona as the European-Mediterranean Postgraduate Programme on Organ Donation and Transplantation (EMPODaT), Knowledge transfer and Leadership In Organs donation from Europe to China (KeTLOD), Organ donation Innovative Strategies for Southeast Asia (ODISSEA) and currently in the Transeuropean Educational Initiative in Organ Donation and Transplantation (TEODOR).
