Ioana Silistraru is pursuing a MSc in Psychology at “Babes Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca, with special interest in qualitative research, following her PhD degree in Sociology at Bucharest University.
Her narrative medicine thesis was completed in the field of physician-patient communication.
Apart from psychology of health, her research interests also concern the impact of best practices in healthcare settings from a communication point of view, focusing on the analysis of patient-doctor conversations, while exploring the training outcomes in healthcare professionals' communication.
Ioana Silistraru has published several articles and a narrative medicine study based on her thesis, and she teaches medical sociology, journalism and communication at “Lucian Blaga” University, Sibiu, at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
