I was born on January 16, 1970 in Cluj-Napoca, in a family of university teachers.I attended the "Emil Racoviţă" High School in Cluj-Napoca, which I graduated in June 1988 as head of promotion.

Starting in 1988, I attended the courses of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Cluj-Napoca, which I graduated in 1994 as head of promotion. On the occasion of the residency exam in November 1994, I chose my psychiatry specialty. During my residency, I attended the courses of "Babeş-Bolyai" University, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Department of Psychology, which I graduated in 2000. During the same period, I began my doctoral studies, and in March 2002 I defended my doctoral thesis entitled "Depression in alcoholics: psychopathological and biological evaluation" at the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj-Napoca.

Currently, I am a primary care physician and Head of the Psychiatry III Department at the Cluj County Emergency Clinical Hospital, Associate Professor and Head of Discipline in the Discipline of Medical Psychology and Psychiatry of the "Iuliu Haţieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj-Napoca and Residency Coordinator in Psychiatry.

Areas of interest in scientific research are: addiction to psychoactive substances, dementia and suicide. These interests have materialized in: the publication of specialized books in national publishing houses (4), book chapters of foreign publishing houses (4) or in the country (9) of scientific papers indexed by ISI (6) or BDI (12).
