Dragoș Iliescu is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest, where he also leads the doctoral school.
In addition to his academic career, he has been active in consultancy for the last 20 years, being involved or leading a number of important projects related to psychological and educational testing and evaluation, in commercial or governmental contexts, in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
His research interests are grouped around two major areas: psychology applied in an occupational context and in human capital issues and psychological and educational testing and evaluation (with a strong intercultural component).
Dragoș Iliescu has represented a number of national and international professional associations; he is the Past-President of the International Test Commission (ITC) and the current President of Division 2 (Psychological and Educational Assessment) of the International Association of Applied Psychology.
He is chief editor of the European Journal of Psychological Assessment and the author of over 100 scientific articles, book chapters and books, also being a coordinator, together with other prestigious colleagues, of the internationally awarded volume "International Handbook of Testing and Assessment", published in 2016 by Oxford University Press and the author of the “Adapting Tests in Linguistic and Cultural Situations” monograph, published in 2018 by Cambridge University Press.
