Cornelia Măirean is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași.

Her areas of interest include: stress and traumatic loss, resilience and personal development.

She has published, as an author and co-author, the “Psychology of Trauma” volumes (co-author, Polirom Publishing House, 2014), “Bulimia nervosa. Theory, evaluation and treatment” (co-author, Polirom Publishing House, 2016), “Traumatic stress and personal posttraumatic growth” (European Institute Publishing House, 2017).

She has also published studies in several book chapters and in Web of Science indexed journals, in journals such as Transportation & Health, The Journal of Psychology, Anxiety, Stress, and Coping, Journal of Loss and Trauma, International Journal of Stress Management, Social Science Journal, Journal of Happiness Studies, Learning and Individual Differences etc.
