Dr. Dana Baron-Shahaf is the Head of Neuroanesthesia in the Rambam Health Care Campus Department of Anesthesia.

Dr. Baron-Shahaf completed both her M.D. with honor and her Ph.D. in the Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, in the Technion. She then completed her Anesthesia Residency in Rambam Hospital and stayed there as a staff anesthesiologist and the Residency Program Director. Along the years, she completed a fellowship training in Neuro-Anesthesia in the University of Toronto, and later a sabbatical year as a fellow in Neuro-Trauma and Neuro Critical Care also in the University of Toronto (at a different hospital). In between those years, she maintained her position in Rambam and is an active member of the department. 

Dr. Baron-Shahaf is an active scientist and researcher. During the past few years, her research focused on EEG analysis for peri-operative and emergency medicine uses. She is involved in developing new algorithms to use EEG for identifying different pathologies as well as implementing and testing them on patients. During the recent years she published papers in this field, won competitive grants, presented in international conferences and received the Canadian Society of Anesthesia award for her work.
