I was born in Riga and got my medical degree at 1975 from School of Medicine, Riga, Latvia.
Since 1980 I am leaving in Israel. The residency in Anesthesiology and in Critical Care Medicine I did at Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem. As a part of my training I worked two years as Visiting Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland.
My clinical activities is divided between anesthesiology and ICU.
My research interest included hemodynamics, fluid management and lung injury.
During 19 years I was chairing the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Carmel Hospital, Haifa and since 2017 I am chairing the same department at Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem.
