Professor of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the „Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania. Head of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department, Regional Institute of Oncology Iasi, Romania. Member of the European Board of Anaesthesiology (UEMS). Chair of Workforce, Working Condition and Welfare Committee of the European Board of Anaesthesiology.
Research in the areas of sepsis, infections treatment, the immune response in septic, surgical and oncological patient, ethical issues in ICU and others. Publications 2 books, 30 book chapters and 155 publications, 53 in ISI journals. Hirsh index 16. Coordinator of the Anesthesia and Intensive Training Program of the „Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania.
Awarded by the Romanian College of Physicians with the national „Physician in Romania” award (2014). Awarded by the National Association of Student Societies with the „Professor Bologna” award (2009). Awarded by UMF Iasi students for three times with the „Best Teacher” award.
