CRISTINA PETRIȘOR

Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine specialist since 2012 and Diplomate of the European Society of Anaesthesia (DESA) since 2015, working as a physician in the Clinical Emergency County Hospital Cluj-Napoca and as an Associate professor in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care II Department of the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca.

Researcher in the domain of Allergoanaesthesia within a multidisciplinary team comprising anaesthesiologists, allergologists and immunologists. Current research activities within ISRCTN34940667 (Ultrasonographic evaluation of the submandibular space compliance to predict difficult airway in anaesthesia) and NCT03001687 (Impact of Vitamin D Supplementation on Hepcidin Levels and Transfusion Requirements in Surgical and Septic Patients). Experience as Assistant Editor for the Romanian Journal of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care 2016-2017.

Involved in ESA research activities like Clinical Research and Scientific Article Writing Masterclasses (2013) and selected to participate in the ESA Mentorship programme 2016-2018. Involved in ISOS and VIP1 international studies, as well as investigator in local research. Areas of interest: clinical and preclinical research, perianaesthetic anaphylaxis- allergic inflammation, sepsis-associated inflammation, perioperative transfusion practices, transfusion in the critically ill, organ support in intensive care, ultrasound in anaesthesia, medical education for anaesthesia and intensive care.
