Prof. Amiran Revishvili MD, PhD graduated from the Sechenov 1th Moscow Medical Institute in 1979.
Until 2016 – worked as a Director of Department of Cardiac Arrhythmias Bakoulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery. Since 2016 – Director of the Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery (Moscow, Russian Federation).
President of the All-Russian Scientific Society of Arrhythmology, Electrophysiology and Pacing and Russian Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Academician of the Russian Academy of Science.
Area of interest: arrhythmias, cardiovascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery, atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias, radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, radioablation, implantable devices.
Prof. A. Revishvili has published more than 600 articles in leading medical journals. He is the only one cardiac surgeon and arrhytmologists who performs catheter, thoracoscopic and open heart surgery for tachyarrhythmias (atrial fibrillation), including concomitant heart pathology.
