Ben Hicks 

Psychologist and Research Fellow at The Centre for Dementia Studies, Brighton and Sussex Medical School 

Ben is currently the Research Co-Ordinator for the DETERMIND project. This is a 5 year research programme, joint funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), that aims to address inequalities in the dementia care pathway post-diagnosis. Ben has over ten years research experience within the dementia care field and his interests are focussed on promoting social inclusion and well-being for people with dementia and their care partners through creative, psychosocial initiatives.

Ben was previously a psychology lecturer at Bournemouth University and Deputy Director at the Ageing and Dementia Research Centre (ADRC).
