Dear friends, colleagues,

The last year has been a difficult one, with unexpected changes and with the reconfiguration of many landmarks of personal and professional life. After a year that tested our limits, but also challenged us to give everything and even more in response to the urgency and severity of a pandemic, our specialty, anaesthesia-intensive care, continues the educational endeavour, with new solutions of networking and communication.

Therefore, after organizing in 2020 for the first time the SRATI National Congress in a virtual format and after initiating the series of S.R.A.T.I. webinars (started in December last year), we are launching a new edition of the SRATI National Congress in an exclusively virtual format.

Although we wanted to offer a hybrid formula for participation (both in person and virtually) that would allow us all to meet in Sinaia, the heart of our national congresses for more than a decade, we decided to opt for the organization of the National Congress in the online platform of v-SRATI 2021, given the pandemic, risky and unpredictable context.

The v-SRATI 2021 platform brings new facilities for this year's edition, which allow communication, promotion and exposure of products and services, developed to offer the entire ICU community multiple possibilities of expression and connection.

As usual, together with our guests and friends from all over the world, we are preparing a diverse, actual, exciting and necessary scientific program.

As the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic continues to impact our patients, the health care workforce and the way care is provided, the Congress program will focus on the latest advances and research controversies of all professionals, ICU specialists, but also on the safety of the medical act, with their own experiences and solutions.

Our national congress is the space where you can make your voice heard, so I invite you to register, to participate actively and to send scientific contributions for the realization of a program as comprehensive, relevant and useful as possible to our specialty.
