ANNALISA BOSCOLO bozza

Annalisa Boscolo is an Associate Professor at the University of Padua, specializing in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Padua in 2007, followed by a specialization in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in 2012. She later earned a PhD in Pharmacological Sciences, focusing on pain management and intensive care.

Dr. Boscolo Bozza has extensive research experience, including a research fellowship at the University of Virginia (USA), where she studied neurotoxicity mechanisms during general anaesthesia. Her research focuses on critical care, respiratory support, antimicrobial stewardship, and perioperative medicine. She has contributed to numerous clinical studies and trials related to sepsis, mechanical ventilation, and extracorporeal therapies. 

She has published extensively in high-impact journals, with a strong bibliometric record, including an h-index of 28 and over 2,900 citations. She actively participates in international research collaborations and serves as a reviewer for leading medical journals.

As an educator, Dr. Boscolo Bozza teaches in various medical programs at the University of Padua, including courses in anaesthesiology, emergency medicine, and critical care. She supervises doctoral and medical students and is involved in academic leadership roles within the Department of Medicine.

Beyond academia, she is a member of professional societies such as the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and the Italian Society of Anaesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation, and Intensive Care (SIAARTI). She also contributes to medical education through simulation training and professional development initiatives.
