• 2002: Graduation in Medicine at the University of Bologna, Italy

• 2007: Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ospedale S. Orsola, University of Bologna, Italy

• 2012: PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Parma, Italy

Fellowship:

2006-2010: Clinical and Research Fellowship in Fetal Medicine and Surgery at Harris Birthright Research Centre, King’s College Hospital, London, United Kingdom

Scientific and educational activities:

• Author and co-author of about 90 peer-review papers published in Scientific Journals on various aspects of fetal diagnosis and therapy (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=persico+n&sort=pubdate). Areas of particular interest are screening for fetal chromosomal abnormalities, early diagnosis of congenital defects and intrauterine fetal surgery.

• Speaker in more than 100 national and international courses and congresses.

• Teaching to Medical, Midwifery and Nursery students at the University of Milan, Italy.

• Training of Residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Milan and of several other Italian Universities.
