Born in Volos, Greece.
1983 - Graduated from School of Health Sciences, Department of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens;
1984 - 1989 residency in Anaesthesiology;
1989 - Working in the Anaesthesiology and Pain Department of the General Hospital of Children Aglaia Kyriakou in Athens, Greece now as a medical director;

Coordinator of the Annual Education Program of the Paediatric Hospitals of Athens.
Further specialization in the fields of Paediatric Anaesthesiology, Algology and Emergency Prehospital Medicine, with a special interest in Sustainable Anaesthesiology.

2009-2022 Member of the Board of the Hellenic Society of Anaesthesiology.
President of the Board of the Hellenic Society of Anaesthesiology for the term 2020-2022.

2010 - Member of the European Board of Anaesthesiology EBA/UEMS CME/CPD Subcommittee.Representative of the EBA/UEMS in EACCME.

2017 - Member of the Working Group of the Greek Ministry of Health for the new Training Program of the Specialty of Anaesthesiology and the Curriculum, for the update of the law for the Safe Administration of Anaesthesia in Greece and the fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesiology in Greece.

Chair of the Working group of EACCME concerning the “needs assessment and measurement of educational outcomes of CME events”. Member of the ESA/EBA HVTAP Joint Committee.
