Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to a new edition of the SRATI National Congress and its satellite events, which have already become important landmarks in continuing medical education programs: The 48^th Congress of the Romanian Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, the 16^th Romanian-French Congress of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, the 14^th Romanian-Israeli Symposium on Updates in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, the 21^st Congress of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care for Nurses, the 9^th Symposium of the Romanian and Moldavian Societies of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.

After two successful editions organized exclusively in a digital setting, we are pleased to announce the first hybrid SRATI event, which will take place between 11 and 15 May 2022. The online and offline (face to face) environment will merge for a remarkable new experience. The International Conference Center in Sinaia will host the face to face meeting, the online component being hosted by the v-SRATI virtual platform, a wonderful tool which is by now very familiar to our audience and which offers many opportunities for information and networking.

Each year we met, either face to face or online, we proved that S.R.A.T.I. it is not just a scientific community of great relevance both nationally and internationally, where education, progress and innovation are the core values. S.R.A.T.I. is a great family, united by solidarity, resilience and empathy. Therefore, in the spirit of fraternity of our Society, we hope you continue to support the voice of our specialty and get actively involved in SRATI 2022 events.

The risky and unpredictable pandemic context that we all know far too well causes me to mention that we remain, however, prepared for any unforeseen situation, including the transition of the event in an exclusively virtual format. But, with optimism and confidence, I assure you that we will have an exceptional meeting, no matter how we connect because, as you well know and feel, united we are strong, we are S.R.A.T.I.!
