MICHAL OTÁHAL
Dr. Michal Otáhal graduated from the 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague.
He started working as an anesthesiologist and intensivist at the Faculty Hospital in Královské Vinohrady in 1998.
Since 2006 he has been working as an intensivist at the General University Hospital, Prague.
From 2007 he is Head of Intensive Care Unit of Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the General University Hospital in Prague and as an assistant professor at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University.
Since 2010 he has been cooperating with Dr. Mlcek at the Institute of Physiology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, where he was at the beginning of the animal laboratory.
His interest is mechanical ventilation, ARDS research. He was at the beginning of research into the effects of positioning and Automatic Lateral Therapy.
