Prof. univ. PhD, pediatrics, hematology, oncology and clinical immunology

Professor Marhit Serban graduated from Victor Babeş Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy from Timişoara in 1966, obtaining the title of doctor of medicine in 1977, at same university, with the thesis Intravascular coagulation syndrome in children, guided by Prof. Dr. Louis Ţurcanu. She completed thepostgraduate training in pediatrics and hematology at university clinics in Bucharest and in onco-hematology, immunology and bone marrow transplantation in hospitals in Europe (Munich, Essen, Vienna, Miskolc) and the United States (Orlando, Louisville).

Professional activity: started at the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children Louis Ţurcanu, going through the entire hierarchical scale from resident physician to primary care physician in four specialties: pediatrics (1990), hematology (1992), oncology (1998) and clinical immunology (1994).

She started her teaching activity in 1968 as an intern assistant, going through the value scale up to the title of university professor in 1993 at the Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy and head of clinic at the Louis Ţurcanu Children's Emergency Clinical Hospital in Timişoara, since 1994.

She is the director doctorate since 1994, with over 15 doctors with completed doctorates.
