1984: Graduation from School of Medicine, University of Athens, Greece
1989: Specialty in Anaesthesiology, Athens. 
1998: PhD from School of Medicine, University of Athens.
2001: Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (1-year training), Ministry of Health & Welfare, Athens.
Postgraduate Studies in U.K. and France (1 year duration).
Teaching:  Anaesthesiology and Emergency Medicine.
Clinical and Research Interests: Perioperative Medicine, Obstetric anaesthesia, Paediatric anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine. 
Local investigator in 5 European Multicenter Studies [EuSOS, OBTAIN, POPULAR (National Coordinator), EPiMAP, POSE]. 
Published work and lectures: 56 publications in SCI journals, 9 articles in SCI-expanded journals and  6 articles in Greek Scientific Journals;  also, 12 monographs and several chapters in scientific books.
Invited speaker at numerous national scientific meetings and 8 international congresses with lectures on education, safety, obstetric & pediatric anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and emergency medicine.
Awards: 7 prizes for clinical and experimental studies presented in Panhellenic Scientificc meetings.
