Dr Sorin Parasca has graduated UMF “Carol Davila”, Bucharest as a Medical Doctor in 1992, and has entered the residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1994. After becoming a specialist, he has joined the UMF “Carol Davila” as Assistant Lecturer. He has got his Ph D at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Medicine from “Ovidius” University, Constanța in 2014, after becoming a consultant in Plastic Surgery in 2004.During his career until now, he has trained many residents in the arts of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He also became a respected surgeon at The Clinical Emergency Hospital for Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery and Burns, Bucharest, acting in all areas of our specialty. He started a successful private practice aimed mostly at esthetic surgery some 15 years ago and is now contributing to the training of residents and young specialists into this branch of plastic surgery during courses organized by RASS. He has put burns among his permanent subjects of interest during his day-to-day practice, having gained a large experience in treating burned patients. He has been a constant and active participant at all the scientific events held by the most important professional associations from Romania. He has also gained recognition as a researcher with important publications and a Hirsh-index of 8.
