Dr. Radu Ionescu is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon based in Bucharest, Romania. Studied medicine at University “Carol Davila”, Bucharest, Romania, where he received his degree in medicine. He continued his training in plastic surgery at the Military Hospital of Bucharest, Romania and he became in 2006 specialist of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University “Victor Babeș” of Timișoara, Romania. To the same university in 2011 he obtained “Medic Primar” Board Certification. He is also, from 2019, Chairman of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Monza Metropolitan Hospital. Before that, from (2013-2019), Chairman of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Medlife Hospital Group, the leading private network of hospitals in Romania, (2007-2013) he was the Chairman of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Regina Maria Hospital Group.He is a full member of Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons , Romanian Society of Aesthetic Surgery and American Society of Plastic Surgeons where he was appointed member of the board and member in different committees. He is also member of Plastic and Reconstructive  Committee at Romanian College of Physicians.His skills are focussed breast surgery, specially:  breast augmentation and mastopexy. Also he have an European prize for adiposse stem cell inovations. In the latest years, he was involved in research of BIA-ALCL with multiples international presentations, representing Romania as Chairman of Romanian BIA-ALCL Committe and member of Global Network BIA-ALCL of PSN(ASPS).In several publications and worldwide lectures, he presented new surgical techniques for breast augumentation and mastopexy also inovations in immediate breast reconstruction. He was consultant and speaker for Allergan, Mentor and Motiva.
